The remote access allows you to remote control your VLC application. It includes:

- Playback control (play, pause, next, previous, playlist management, ...)
- Browsing your media library
- Browsing your files
- Download media files
- Send media files
- Retrieve logs and crashes

For now, the remote access is only available on VLC for Android starting with version 3.6

How does it work?
******************

1. Enable it in VLC
2. Get the remote access URL
3. Navigate to this URL in a web browser from another device
4. Accept the certificate. See :doc:`remote_access_ssl`
5. Authenticate your browser using the One Time Password
6. You can now start using the remote access
