Remote access¶

The remote access allows you to remote control your VLC application. It includes:
Playback control (play, pause, next, previous, playlist management, …)
Browsing your media library
Browsing your files
Download media files
Send media files
Retrieve logs and crashes
Availability¶
For now, the remote access is only available on VLC for Android starting with version 3.6
How does it work?¶
Enable it in VLC
Get the remote access URL
Navigate to this URL in a web browser from another device
Accept the certificate. See Remote accessed certificate
Authenticate your browser using the One Time Password
You can now start using the remote access
